| Mindy Weisel began painting at the age of 14 in order to find her own voice. As the only daughter of Auschwitz survivors, she had been able to put her feelings and experiences, both past and present, into her work. She is involved in the process of creating light out of darkness which she had achieved with her paintings that are beautifully crafted and emotionally evocative. In addition to her art, Ms. Weisel is the author of "Touching Quiet: Reflections in Solitude," and is the editor of "Daughters of Absence: Transforming a Legacy of Loss."
